A shorter version of our popular maintenance shelter, the 40EX50SP is a great option for those who want a large straight sidewall building for applications such as large recreational centers, dining, and gyms. The 40EX50SP can handle extreme environments and has an logical and fast setup. This shelter is more than large enough for most maintenance needs, yet does not require any heavy equipment to erect. The CAMSS 40EX50SP has an innovative aluminum frame system that allows the main arch frame to be assembled in sections on the ground starting with the peak using just the mechanical lifts provided. Even at such a large size, this shelter is surprisingly compact to ship anywhere in the world and is 463L pallet compatible for air transportation.

Cover / End Panels

17 oz/sq yd Mil-Spec 44103D fabric
Four (4) sets of two (2) 18” ECU ports with a cable port
Guy ropes for wind load capability up to 100 MPH
Can connect multiple shelters end to end
Built in infrared (IR) blocking
Fabric includes UV inhibitors and is mold and rot resistant
Fire resistant fabric that meets NFPA 701
Cover and ends are radio frequency welded
Steel cable included to tighten cover around frame

Personnel Entries

Two (2) personnel double doors
- 60” wide x 80” high
- Locking flush mount handle
- Secured to the shelter without penetration of the fabric
- Centered on the ends of the shelter

Frame

Made from lightweight, high-strength aluminum
Can easily be assembled with only the equipment provided
Continuous base frame to provide vector proofing
Frame components are interchangeable and color coded to speed assembly
Designed for incremental lifting method to maintain safety of crew
Pre-drilled base frame for easy anchoring
Base frame has connection points to secure cover to frame
Frame is corrosion resistant
Vertical and horizontal aluminum bracing in end-walls

Liner

Shelter includes an internal liner system that helps to maintain internal working conditions of 40° – 80° F in ambient temperatures of -25° to 125° F when supported by environmental control units
Air sock in every corner of the shelter provide improved air circulation
8 oz/sq yd Mil-Spec fabric
Liner is flame resistant per test method ASTM D6413
- After flame – 2 seconds max
- Char length – 6” max

Electrical

Three phase electrical panel
- 125 Amp, 208 Volts, 60 Hertz
- 60A main breaker
- 30A outlet for welding equipment
- One (1) light switch
- Four (4) twist lock cable connectors

Engineering calculations demonstrate shelter performance meets a 100 mph wind load per ASCE 7-16
Engineering calculations demonstrate shelter performance meets a ground snow load of 20 psf per ASCE 7-16
Shelter is capable of being erected in 12 hours with 8 personnel with no heavy equipment.

*Design loads assume that actual soil conditions will meet one of the following in accordance with ASTM D-2487/2488:

Sand gravel / very dense sand
Hardpan / Asphalt
