Background
The U.S. Air Force needed back shops for a major project at Whiteman Air Force Base. The weather at Whiteman can be severe with extreme heat in the summer and extreme cold with ice and snow in the winter.
Solution
The California Medium Shelter System (CAMSS30) is the Official Medium Shelter of the U.S. Air Force. It was specifically developed and robustly tested by the U.S. Air Force for deployment to harsh weather locations world wide. The CAMSS30 is the primary maintenance shop of the U.S. Air Force, making it the ideal choice for this project.
California Medium Shelter System
The CAMSS30 comes equipped with many features that made it the ideal
solution for the U.S. Air Force.
Success
A CAMSS30 shelter was procured and deployed at the Whiteman AFB. Winter at Whiteman AFB brought the usual ice and snow. Other structures had ice and snow build up of 10 to 20 inches thick, whereas the CAMSS30 was snow and ice free. Even in the unusual event of a tornado bringing 88mph winds, the CAMSS30 did not budge or take damage.
